For Protégés:
The ASCE-IL Student Outreach Committee would like to invite Section’s collegiate members (IIT, NU, UIC) and recent graduates (2020, 2021 graduation dates) to apply for participation in our 2021-2022 Mentor-Protégé program. Please view the protégés application for more information. The applications are due Thursday, December 30th, 2021 and should be emailed to stoutcommittee@gmail.com. The pairs will be matched based on best fit of interests and career alignment. The aim of this initiative is to provide students and recent graduates with direct access to current professionals in their field of interests for career, professional, and personal development, as well as promoting social networking. Similar to last year, we are encouraging recent graduates (2020 & 2021 graduation dates) to be protégés this year. The mentorship pairings will be announced on Monday, January 10th, 2022.
For Mentors:
The ASCE-IL Student Outreach Committee would like to invite any interested professionals in becoming an ASCE Professional Mentor for 2021-2022. We are looking for motivated and committed individuals willing to serve as a mentor for students from either the Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, or the University of Illinois at Chicago and recent graduates. Please view the mentor application for more information. The applications due Thursday, December 30th, 2021 and should be emailed to stoutcommittee@gmail.com. The mentorship pairings will be announced on Monday, January 10th, 2022. The pairs will be matched based on best fit of interests and career alignment. This a great opportunity to have a lasting, positive impact on the next generation of civil engineers.
