Tour of Robbins Stormwater Park
EWRI has arranged for a guided tour of the recently completed Robbins Stormwater Park located near 135th Street and Kedzie Avenue in Robbins, IL. The project was constructed in two phases to provide flood relief for the Village of Robbins. The first phase, the outlet to the Cal Sag Channel was completed in 2024. The second phase, the detention facility was completed this year. This project is designed to remove 1300 parcels from the existing flood plain and provide recreational opportunities for residents. The tour will last about 30 minutes and Q&A period will follow the tour.
We will assemble in the south parking lot, located off of Claire Boulevard, south of 135th Street. This will involve walking up to a mile in distance so wear comfortable footwear. The park is ADA compliant.
