    Joliet, IL will be serving as an official Satellite City for the 2026 Route 66 Centennial. The kickoff for the event on April 30, 2026, will include Joliet Slammers Baseball game at the Old Joliet Prison. Other satellite cities include St. Louis, Amarillo, Albuquerque, and Santa Monica.
