Route 66 Centennial Event at Navy Pier

The Illinois Section is hosting a Route 66 Centennial event at Navy Pier featuring the installation and dedication of a historic landmark plaque recognizing the route’s engineering significance and enduring legacy. A host of key speakers and stakeholders will also share remarks commemorating the occasion. Given Navy Pier’s newly recognized prominence in the Route 66 story, the event is expected to be a meaningful and highly visible celebration of this iconic roadway and its centennial.
