Register Here \nAbout the project \n\nOpened in Summer 2024 to fill a critical transit gap on the Near West Side\, improving access for Westhaven Park residents\, Kinzie Industrial Corridor workers\, and United Center visitors.\nDesigned by Perkins & Will\, a globally renowned architecture firm\, and constructed by CDOT with an $80 million budget funded through the Kinzie Industrial Corridor TIF District.\nFeatures a transparent glass façade showcasing a grand stairway and escalator.\nIncludes a glass bridge connecting platforms\, inspired by Chicago’s steel bridge heritage.\nBuilt with low-maintenance materials for long-term durability and sustainability.\nShowcases a monumental mosaic artwork by Fo (Folayemi) Wilson\, reflecting the cultural richness of the surrounding community.\n\n
