DESCRIPTION:UESI and EWRI are excited to jointly host an evening technical presentation on Water System Resiliency on Wednesday\, March 4\, 2026\, at V3 Companies in Woodridge\, IL. \nThe program will explore how water utilities prepare for\, respond to\, and recover from major system disruptions. Rebecca Cramer (Hazen and Sawyer) will discuss emergency planning and resiliency strategies for water distribution systems\, including preparing for extreme weather and infrastructure failures. Ramesh Kanapareddy (NSMJAWA) will share a real-world case study on community outreach and coordination during the repair of a critical 90-inch transmission main\, while Paul May (DuPage Water Commission) will highlight operational practices that ensure reliable water delivery across multiple communities. \n📅 March 4\, 2026 \n🕔 Check-in: 5:15 PM | 🎤 Presentations: 6:00 PM 🍽️ Dinner provided \n📚 PDHs available \nA great opportunity for water professionals to earn PDHs\, gain practical insight into system resiliency\, and connect with peers across the industry. Learn how collaboration between owners\, designers\, and construction managers drives safer\, more efficient infrastructure—and how best practices in utility coordination can reduce risk and improve outcomes throughout construction. \nPaul Chojenski – NICTD \nMike Rowe – NICTD – Project Manager \nLicensed engineer with 20+ years of progressive work experience\, primarily in the rail/transit industry. Experienced in engineering design\, construction\, and project management. Mike is a graduate of Purdue University and has been with NICTD for over 8 years. Mike is the Project Manager for the West Lake Corridor Project\, where he is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the project\, including third party coordination and dealing with other railroads. \nMohammed Siddiqi\, PE – AECOM – Senior Construction Manager \nLeading the NICTD West Lake Corridor Project as a Deputy Project Manager for the CM services. With extensive experience in complex transportation and public infrastructure projects\, he specializes in construction management\, project delivery\, and cost control for large-scale programs.
