DESCRIPTION:GI – September Dinner Meeting with Kelly Cabal – Director of ConeTec\nMaking Waves: A Comparative Analysis of Shear Wave Velocity Measurements\nShear wave velocity (Vs) is a key geotechnical parameter for foundation design\, seismic site classification\, and liquefaction assessment. This presentation compares Vs measurements from surface methods\, borehole testing (downhole and PS suspension logging)\, and seismic CPT (sCPT). Topics include method selection\, true-time vs. pseudo-time interpretation\, and QA/QC practices.
